Strawberries give the festival its name and help tell Rancho Queimado's story. From November 27 to 29, the 33rd Festa do Morango is expected to bring food, music, and crafts together at Parque do Morango in Taquaras. If you enjoy discovering a place through its flavors and people, these dates deserve a spot in your calendar.

The fruit that brings the farm to the festival

Rancho was named Santa Catarina's Strawberry Capital in 2001, according to the history recorded by the municipality. The celebration gives that identity a stage: the regional presentation advertises strawberry-based dishes, a market of handcrafted products, and live shows.

Your interest in the outing may begin with flavor and continue with curiosity. Where does what you are tasting come from? Who makes it? Talking with exhibitors, when the opportunity arises, is a way to discover the work that happens before a product reaches the table.

A weekend in Taquaras

The published dates fall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The address given by Visite Floripa is Parque do Morango on Rua Romanos Goedert. The announced program includes food and family attractions, but artists' names, times, and entry conditions did not yet appear in the sources consulted on October 14.

For now, you can choose which day you would like to go and decide between a day trip and an overnight stay. Choosing performances and an arrival time will be easier once the full schedule is released.

An invitation to look beyond the event

Taquaras also holds an important place in the municipality's memory, with the Casa de Campo de Hercílio Luz and references to the passage of the tropeiros, the historical muleteers. If you would like to broaden your itinerary, the festival can be a starting point for discovering this side of Rancho. Opening arrangements for cultural spaces and visits to rural properties should be agreed separately.

When planning the weekend, leave room to enjoy whatever interests your group most. Follow @festadomorangotaquaras for updates on this edition. The image accompanying this news comes from the park's archive during an earlier event; the 2026 festival has yet to take place.
