Taquaras hosts Erdbeerfest 2026 — Opening of Strawberry Season on October 23 and 24. The program brings growers, residents, and visitors together around the fruit that helps shape Rancho Queimado's identity, combining technical knowledge, culinary creativity, and a gathering in the town square.
Knowledge for growers
Friday, October 23, begins with the 8th Regional Strawberry Growing Seminar. Registration and a welcome coffee are scheduled for 8:00 a.m. After the opening, the program presents regional production data and two technical lectures from the Federal University of Paraná: integrated pest management in strawberry crops, with Professor Maria Aparecida C. Zawadneak, and control of fungal rots, with Professor Henrique Duarte.
Strawberries also inspire creativity
Starting at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, the Erdbeerfest 2026 Culinary Contest brings together participants in the Dishes, Beverages, and Baked Goods categories. The aim is to explore strawberries in different preparations and value the relationship between rural production, gastronomy, and local identity. Registration was free and closed on October 16 at 5:00 p.m.; therefore, today's contest is not accepting new entries.
Saturday brings together a route, culture, and music
On Saturday, October 24, the official opening is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. The Rota Caminhos Rurais de Rancho Queimado will be launched at 11:30 a.m., followed by the presentation of certificates from the Senai baking course at 12:30 p.m. The afternoon continues with Léo Gaiteiro at 2:30 p.m., folk groups at 3:30 p.m., selection of the royalty for the 33rd Festa do Morango at 4:30 p.m., Coral Vozes de Santa Catarina at 5:30 p.m., and Bruno Spinelli at 6:30 p.m.
Two different strawberry gatherings
Erdbeerfest marks the opening of the season in October. The 33rd Festa do Morango is a separate event scheduled for November 27 to 29 at Parque do Morango. Keeping the two dates separate helps visitors plan their trip and enjoy each program at the right time.
